A team of 23 faculty members and students from Feng Chia University's Department of Aerospace and Systems Engineering successfully launched their research rocket at Xuhai, Pingtung, marking a significant achievement in the small sounding rocket development project in collaboration with the Taiwan Space Agency (TASA). The success came after two previous unsuccessful attempts, overcoming detonator positioning and power supply issues.

The early morning launch saw the research rocket shooting skywards in a stable trajectory, with the single-stage hybrid rocket burning for 12 seconds and achieving a flight time of 75 seconds. The rocket reached an altitude of 6.4 kilometers, meeting all test objectives. The successful launch was met with cheers from the research team, with one student exclaiming, "It flew beautifully!" Project principal researcher Yeh Chun-liang (葉俊良) highlighted the extensive modifications required particularly in the injection port design and control valve.

This accomplishment represents a year of dedication from the research team, with graduate student Wu Bo-jin (吳柏縉) expressing joy and pride in their collective achievement, saying that all their hard work has paid off.
