During his tour of the Austronesian islands, President Lai Ching-te (賴清德) transited through Guam on Thursday after departing Tuvalu.
Upon arrival at Guam International Airport, Lai was welcomed by Taiwan’s Representative to the U.S., Alexander Tah-ray Yui (俞大㵢), American Institute in Taiwan Managing Director Ingrid Larson, and Guam Governor Lourdes Guerrero alongside her husband Jeffrey Cook, Chief of Staff Jon Calvo, and Protocol Officer Joseph Shinohara.
