Brides and grooms dressed in traditional attire arrive at Dajia Zhenlan Temple in Taichung City for the annual group wedding. This year, 60 couples received blessings from the sea goddess Mazu, relatives, and friends in the temple square.
The pairs getting married at the lively event came from all over Taiwan. Among them was a couple who met while working in the medical team during the Dajia Mazu procession. They said that Mazu brought them together for a good marriage, so they decided to return to the temple for her blessings.
Zhenlan Temple Vice Chairman Cheng Ming-kun (鄭銘坤) served as witness at the group wedding on March 8. The annual nuptials are held for many newlyweds to pray for protection and support from the ocean goddess. A beautiful way to commit to their favorite fish in the sea, the couples ask for long-lasting love and leave with an unforgettable marital memory.
