Vintage cars and motorcycles are rarely seen on the streets of Taiwan, so when shows are held, the public speeds to the scene to admire these beautiful classics.

The Kaohsiung Pier2 Art Center put on a special show this weekend featuring rare classic cars. Coming from all over the island, the public admired the vintage vehicles, the total value of which exceeded NT$100 million (more than US$3 million).

Auto fans were excited to have the chance to see such rare cars with their own eyes, saying that the featured Mercedes, Jaguar, and other time-honored makes have their own special retro flavor.

Further north, in front of the Tainan Orthodox Luermen Shengmu Temple, more than 1,500 American heavy motorcycle enthusiasts gathered on Saturday, attracting attention with the loud rumbling of their engines.

Cruiser Riders Club Taiwan CEO Chen Tzu-lung (陳子龍) said that most young riders participate in loud street racing, but they are a little older and prefer to ride cool rather than fast.

Whether you prefer motorcycles or vintage cars, the spectacular gatherings in Tainan and Kaohsiung had many hearts racing for the romance of vehicles.
