Hoping to draw from South Korea’s experience in film and television production, the Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) signed a letter of intent for cooperation with the creators of the internationally renowned productions, “Moving” and “Light Shop”, Mr.Romance and Moving Pictures Co.

Each company is expected to develop five productions with Taiwanese companies, totaling to ten productions over the next five years. TAICCA says it hopes the close cooperation will help Taiwanese productions gain global recognition.

The signing ceremony was attended by TAICCA Chair Homme Tsai (蔡嘉駿), TAICCA President Lu Chun-wei (盧俊偉), Mr.Romance CEO Saeyoon “Sean” Shim, and Moving Pictures Co. head Lee Hyeong-gu.

Director Lee Do Yoon and actor Ju Ji-hoon of the 2025 hit Netflix Series “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” flew from Korea to show their support as well. Their appearance came alongside TAICCA hinting that the cooperation agreement would somehow also involve the director and actor duo.

TAICCA Chair Tsai said South Korea has a wealth of experience in content development and film and television production that, when combined with Taiwan’s talent pool, can enhance Taiwan’s global exposure with high-quality, buzzworthy content.

Mr.Romance CEO Shim commented that he has high expectations for the cooperation, emphasizing that he plans to go all out to create new opportunities for the works in the global market. Lee praised Taiwan for its superior technology and creative content production, noting that the preexisting market for South Korean content and its solid storytelling capabilities will help further boost Taiwan’s video production, allowing it to shine in the global spotlight.
