The 2025 Yilan Green Expo has officially opened at Wulaokeng, celebrating sustainability in a fun and family-friendly theme park.
Yilan Green Expo, the county’s flagship spring event, officially opened on March 29 at the Wulaokeng Scenic Area in Suao Township. This year’s slogan, “an inclusive world,” reimagines the area as a sustainable theme park, featuring 17 interactive exhibition zones and 21 eco-friendly play areas for families.
Opening festivities kicked off with a traditional Thai folk dance to welcome visitors, followed by performances from various local and international groups.
One of the main draws this year is the carbon-free play zone, where visitors of all ages can enjoy a 360-degree rotating bicycle swing, zipline, and a human gyroscope.
Acting County Magistrate Lin Mao-sheng (林茂盛) said the themed areas highlight the values of sustainability, noting “Whether it’s animals, plants, or other life forms, visitors can discover the beauty of biodiversity and environmental awareness.”
The 2025 Yilan Green Expo also features more than a thousand DIY craft workshops, 17 educational pavilions focused on sustainability, and 21 electricity-free amusement facilities. With its blend of fun, learning, and hands-on innovation, it promises an exciting and meaningful experience for all ages.
