The second all-female Democracy and Gender Equality training camp has opened registration from now until June 9. In a Monday press conference, DPP Gender Equality Department Director Lee Yen-jong (李晏榕) encouraged women aged 20 to 35 who are interested in public affairs to attend to deepen female participation in politics. The two-day event will be held in Taoyuan from July 5 to 6.

Lee said that the DPP hopes to increase women's participation in politics from the institutional level to the action level, and this women-only training camp will strengthen women's visibility and voice in public decision making. She mentioned that the camp will guide students to understand political participation through practical simulation exercises, experience exchanges, and guidance.

Women’s rights activist A-mei (阿美) said that her own experience of sexual harassment made her realize the importance of women's participation in politics. She emphasized that women entering the political field can truly change the system for the next generation and prevent further harm.

Musical composer Yang Shu-ya (楊舒雅) underscored that women still face gender bias and violence hidden in daily life during political participation, including sexual harassment during street advocacy and "mentoring" by men. She called for a gender-friendly political environment to enable women to speak out without fear.
