Shares in Taiwan closed higher Friday after Wall Street posted gains overnight, but turnover remained low as many investors appeared reluctant to chase prices ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
The weighted index on the Taiwan Stock Exchange closed up 33.20 points, or 0.34%, at 9,529.51.
