Airports Council International (ACI) has ranked Taoyuan International Airport second in its category in the Airport Service Quality Awards for 2014.

The ACI gives out awards based on the results of passenger satisfaction surveys. Airports are divided into a number of categories based on criteria such as region and size.

Taoyuan International Airport won second place in the “25-40 million passenger” category, placing behind Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, India. Taoyuan had previously placed third in the category.

Responding to the announcement of the award, Vice President of the Taoyuan International Airport Corporation, Wen Yung-sung said that airports can never be satisfied with their level of service and must always improve. Wen also said that Taoyuan International Airport will work hard to take first place in its category for the 2015 awards.
