Taiwan stocks led up by electronics shares

Shares in Taiwan edged up on Tuesday led by the electronics sector. That’s despite a slump in U.S. and European stocks.

The weighted index on the Taiwan Stock Exchange closed up 11.81 points, or 0.13 percent, at 8,888.25.
