Shares in Taiwan trended lower Thursday to close below the 9,600-point level as investors took cues from losses suffered on Wall Street overnight to cut their holdings in the local market.
The weighted index on the Taiwan Stock Exchange closed down 26.64 points, or 0.27 percent, at 9,595.09.
