In Taiwan, the temperature in Taipei has set a new high so far this year when the mercury hit 35.6 C on Saturday. According to the Central Weather Bureau, the hot weather could continue into next Tuesday, accompanied with afternoon thunderstorms in northern and eastern Taiwan. On Sunday, Taipei in the north will have partly clear skies and temperatures ranging between 25 and 33 C. Kaohsiung in the south will see mostly clear skies and a high of 31 C.
Elsewhere in Asia, Hong Kong will have thunderstorms and a high of 30 C. In Beijing, partly cloudy skies and a high of 31 C. Tokyo will see cloudy skies and a high of 25 C. And Seoul will have sunny skies and a high of 26 C.
