Deputy Taipei Mayor Chou Li-fang will lead a delegation on Wednesday to Shanghai for three days.
Chou will look into public housing and other urban development issues.
Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je said that Shanghai and Taipei should continue their exchanges during his term. Ko said he would like to see more exchanges and goodwill between the two sides.
The Taipei City Government said Chou will meet with Shanghai city officials to discuss issues like public housing, young entrepreneurs, sports, and smart cities.
Mayor Ko recently said he’d like to see Shanghai and Taipei have a twin city forum in August. A city official said the forum is still being discussed and the deputy mayor’s visit will focus on visiting places in Shanghai.
