The 4th Art Revolution Taipei exhibition has opened, bringing 2,000 pieces of art from around the world.
The fair, which officially opened on Thursday, features the works of 280 artists from 48 countries. Director of the event, Lee Sun-don, said the theme this year is for artists to capture the spirit of Impressionist painters using contemporary techniques and media.
The fair exhibits works by renowned artists such as late Taiwanese-French abstract painter Chu Teh-chun , Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, and also works by pioneering Taiwanese artists Shiy Der-chin and Max Liu.
The fair also includes a fund-raising event. Visitors can each buy up to two of the charity artworks. All the proceeds will go to the Sunshine Social Welfare Foundation.
The fair will run through Apr. 20 at the Taipei World Trade Center.
