Computex Taipei to spotlight wearable devices
Show time for wearable devices

Computex Taipei, the largest computer exhibition in Asia, is expected to place wearable devices under the spotlight to show off the latest innovation of the global high-tech industry.

According to organizers on Saturday, exhibitors at Computex Taipei will showcase a wide range of wearable products, such as smart watches, smart bracelets, smart glasses, and even smart garments.

The exhibition is now in its 35th year. It is scheduled to kick off on June 2 and run through June 5. A total of 1,700 high-tech firms from all over the world will display their products in 5,000 booths at Computex. The exhibition is expected to attract more than 130,000 visitors, including 38,000 potential buyers.

Market analysts said that after Apple Inc. unveiled the Apple Watch in April, enthusiasm towards wearable devices in the global market has increased significantly. They also said the market has high hopes that wearable devices will become a critical part of the Internet of Things (IoT).
