It’s music awards season again here in Taiwan and the music industry is gearing up for the local version of the Grammys – the Golden Melody awards – which will be held on June 27.
Organizers have arranged a series of concerts and events to usher in the awards. A total of 24 musical groups are set to perform at the Global Music Festival, from June 24-26.
This year’s acts include: avant-garde electronic band Lie Gramophone; the six-man rap group Boxing from the Paiwan tribe; and pop singers Yen-J and Victor Wong.
For people who are interested in a value-added experience, there will also be lectures, exhibitions, forums, music workshops, and a platform for cross-industry collaboration.
