Taiwan’s armed forces held a rehearsal Thursday in preparation for a military display in July. The display will mark the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II.
Close to 3,900 military personnel from 32 departments participated in the rehearsal, which took place at the Hukou military base in Hsinchu County.
The rehearsal began with a drill by army forces demonstrating their combat skills and was followed by a flyover and a parade on the ground.
A total of 64 jets participated in the flyover. The fleet also included the first appearance of the army's most advanced attack helicopter, US-made AH-64E Apache attack helicopter and the UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter.
