Taiwan’s main international airport in Taoyuan has announced that work on its northern runway will be completed by January 8 next year.
The airport began renovating the runway in March. Once completed, both of the airport’s two runways will be in brand new condition.
The airport’s other runway also underwent a yearlong refurbishment program that concluded in January this year. The runway can now accommodate aircraft as large as the Airbus A380, which is currently the world’s largest passenger aircraft.
A third runway is still in the planning stages.
