Taiwan has won top place in an open Facebook poll conducted by CNN that asks what country has the world’s best food.
A CNN report on the results said that Taiwanese people hold a simple view towards eating: eat often and eat well.
CNN said that Taiwan’s oldest city, Tainan, is considered the country’s food capital.
Taiwan received more than 8,200 votes. In second place came the Philippines with over 1,500 votes. Only two of the top ten countries were outside of Asia.
