Taiwan has won 33 gold medals, 32 silvers, and 7 special awards at the Invention and New Product Exposition (INPEX) in Pittsburgh, the United States. This record total of 72 awards makes Taiwan the biggest winner at this year’s event.
The biggest individual winner this year is Taiwanese dentist Chen Chun-lung, whose tooth implant kit has been patented in Taiwan, the US and China. Chen’s invention won two gold medals, a special award, and a cash prize of US$2,000.
INPEX is the largest invention trade show in the US. It is also one of the three largest such shows in the world. This year’s INPEX took place from June 16-18.
