NBA star Jeremy Lin is back in Taiwan for a week-long visit. He arrived in the early hours of Monday morning on the final leg of his Asian tour.

Lin finished last season as a point guard for the LA Lakers. He’s expected to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1 after his three-year US$25 million contract expires at the end of the season.

Lin spoke about his plans for the future, during a press conference on Monday.

“The most important thing for me is finding a team and a coach whose game style and system is a good match for me," said Lin.

"For example, I like to play ‘gun and run’ and ‘pick and roll’," he said. "And second, I want to be in the starting lineup. I’m confident that I can be a starter.”

Lin said that his head coach back when he was at the New York Knicks, Mike D'Antoni, was his favorite coach because their styles match.

Lin also admitted to being burnt out after a disappointing season with the Lakers. But he said he was back in the game after taking some time off, and had been working out with former Laker Steve Nash.

Lin is set to meet with about 600 fans at National Taiwan University gymnasium on Saturday. He also says he wants to get some time in at a local night market while he’s in Taiwan.
