Shares in Taiwan closed higher Tuesday. High-priced stocks in the electronics sector moved ahead in the wake of gains posted by high-tech stocks in the U.S. market overnight.
The weighted index on the Taiwan Stock Exchange ended up 23.52 points, or 0.26 percent, at 8,974.71.
