Taiwanese taekwondo athlete Lin Wan-ting has taken a gold in the women’s 46kg event at the Summer Universiade in Gwangju, South Korea. Lin defeated her Thai opponent Wilasinee Khamsribusa 1-0 on Thursday, taking a second gold for Taiwan.
A total of 237 Taiwanese athletes are competing in 16 events at the biennial Summer Universiade. The event, also known as the World University Games, will last through July 14. So far, Taiwan has won two gold medals, three silvers, and four bronzes.
