Another shipment of artificial skin from Japan has arrived in Taiwan to help treat people who were burned in a blast at a water park in New Taipei in late June.

Taiwan’s branch of the Red Cross said that the 469 pieces of Pelnac artificial dermis were donated by Gunze Ltd., and will be shipped to 16 hospitals and medical centers.

This is the second donation from Japan since the blast, which claimed a fifth life on Sunday.

Nearly 500 people were injured during a party at the Formosa Fun Coast water park when colored powder that was sprayed on partygoers exploded and burst into flames. The powder was made of cornstarch, which is flammable.

As of Saturday, 406 of the injured are still in hospital, with 274 in intensive care. A total of 214 people are still in critical condition.

The local branch of the Red Cross says that it has also received medical supplies from China’s Red Cross and the Singapore Government.
