Taiwan has netted four silver medals, one bronze and one honorable mention at the 2015 International Mathematical Olympiad.
This puts Taiwan in 18th place in the overall rankings. This year’s competition took place between July 4-14 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Professor Fu Cheng-der of National Central University’s Graduate Institute of Statistics led the Taiwanese team.
High school students from 104 countries participated this year. The team representing the United States finished the competition at the top of the rankings.
