A new report has found that Taipei is the second most popular destination for Chinese travelers outside the Mainland.
The report is the joint work of online travel booking website Hotels.com and Chinese International Travel Monitor. According to the report, China continues to lead the world in terms of market growth for international travel.
However, the report found that from January to May, most Chinese travelers were interested in destinations within Asia. Paris was the only non-Asian city to make the top ten list of city searches. Taipei was the second most-commonly searched city, with only Hong Kong receiving more hits.
The report is based on the results from a survey conducted in May, which received more than 3,000 responses.
