A little league baseball team from Tung Yuan Elementary School in Taipei has secured a place in the Little League World Series.
The team came out on top in the finals of the Asia-Pacific little league tournament in China. During the finals on Monday, the Taiwanese team beat a team from South Korea 3-2, pushing ahead at the bottom of the sixth inning.
During the tournament, the Taiwanese team also defeated competition from Guam, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines. The team will now prepare to compete in the Little League World Series in the US, which is scheduled to run from August 20-30.
