Taiwan has won three bronze medals in the Asian Judo Open-2015 Taipei. The tournament was inaugurated on Saturday with the participation of some 300 athletes from 34 countries.
The event is set to run through Sunday. It has been authorized by the Judo Union of Asia as one of the tournaments granting qualifying points for the 2016 Olympic Games. The two-day competition has therefore attracted many prominent athletes from around the world.
The most well-known Taiwanese athlete in the tournament is Lien Chen-ling, who won a gold medal at the Judo Grand-Prix Budapest 2015 in June. She is expected to win another medal for Taiwan on Sunday.
