The foreign minister of the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe is in Taiwan to strengthen ties.
Foreign Minister Manuel Salvador dos Ramos and his delegation arrived in Taiwan Sunday for a six-day trip.
The veteran diplomat has been appointed to the post twice. He is most interested in issues concerning climate change, information and communication technology (ICT) as well as the blue economy.
While in Taiwan, he is expected to meet with President Ma Ying-jeou, Foreign Minister David Lin, Environmental Protection Administration Minister Wei Kuo-yen and other high-ranking officials.
The foreign minister from the Central African country will also give a speech on his government’s foreign policy in Taipei.
