Taiwan is set to host a major international conference on the documentation and preservation of cultural heritage sites.
CIPA, an organization that promotes using digital technology to document cultural sites, will hold its biannual symposium in Taipei. The event will take place at China University of Technology between August 31 and September 4. It will be the first time Taiwan has hosted a CIPA event.
Topics on the agenda include digital modelling in archaeology and the impact of war on cultural heritage sites.
On the opening day of the symposium, Culture Minister Hung Meng-chi will deliver remarks expressing Taiwan’s commitment to joining international efforts to preserve cultural heritage.
