Shares in Taiwan took a plunge Tuesday. That was due to lingering concerns over the global economy, especially weakening in the manufacturing sector in China.
The weighted index on the Taiwan Stock Exchange closed down 157.36 points, or 1.92 percent, at 8,017.56.
