A group of Taiwanese International Youth Ambassadors has been in San Francisco this week putting on a series of cultural performances.
Taiwan’s representative office in San Francisco said that the youth ambassador group arrived on Monday. On Tuesday, they gave a performance at a local high school in South Bay with 400 people in attendance.
The youth ambassador group also received a warm welcome at Friends of Children with Special Needs, an international non-profit organization that supports individuals with special needs.
Taiwan’s foreign ministry selected 160 youth ambassadors to represent Taiwan this year. The ambassadors are divided into 10 groups and will visit 41 cities in 35 countries in the world. The youth ambassador group visiting North America this year will next move on to Honolulu, Hawaii, before travelling to the Marshall Islands and Guam.
