A group of 20 Taiwanese youth ambassadors sponsored by the foreign ministry have arrived in the Solomon Islands.
The group arrived in the country on Monday. Taiwan’s ambassador to the Solomon Islands, Victor Yu, led a group of 50 embassy staff and overseas Chinese community leaders to receive the group at the airport. Students from the St. Nicholas School greeted the youth ambassadors with a traditional warrior's dance and flowers.
On Monday evening, the youth ambassadors appeared at a press conference introducing themselves and their performance program to local media. The youth ambassadors said they look forward to several days of cultural exchanges with the youth of the Solomon Islands.
