Shares in Taiwan closed higher Friday after the US Federal Reserve decided overnight to leave its key interest rates unchanged. The move is believed to remove short-term uncertainty in the market.
The weighted index on the Taiwan Stock Exchange ended up 16.64 points, or 0.19%, at 8,462.14.
