Taiwan’s embassy in the Caribbean nation of St. Lucia marked the Double Ten National Day with a banquet on Tuesday, local time.
A number of St. Lucian officials and dignitaries were among those in attendance.
At the event, Taiwan’s ambassador to St. Lucia, Mou Hua-wei, thanked the St. Lucian government’s support for Taiwan’s efforts to participate in international organizations such as the WHO, the International Civil Aviation Organization and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. Mou also thanked St. Lucia for speaking in favor of the peaceful development of cross-strait relations at the UN.
Meanwhile, Emma Hippolyte, St. Lucian Minister for Commerce, Business Development, Investment and Consumer Affairs, congratulated Taiwan on National Day and thanked Taiwan for its assistance to St. Lucia in a variety of fields.
