Taiwan’s gas and diesel prices are set to increase. The new prices will go into effect at midnight on Sunday, moving into Monday.
The state-owned oil company, CPC Corporation, Taiwan, announced that the price would increase by NT$0.8 per liter for gas, and by NT$0.9 per liter for diesel (between US$0.02 - $0.03).
The new prices per liter will be: for super diesel, NT$21.5; for 92 octane unleaded, NT$23.6; for 95 octane unleaded, NT$25.1; and for 98 octane unleaded, NT$27.1 per liter.
CPC says the increase in Taiwan’s floating gas and diesel prices was triggered by an increase in international oil prices. Those increases, were sparked in part by Russia’s willingness to discuss energy and other issues with Saudi Arabia.
Another factor was the US Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) recent increase in its projections for global oil demands for both this year and next year.
