The Taiwanese students association in Moscow held a musical concert on Saturday to celebrate the Republic of China’s October 10 National Day. The Republic of China is Taiwan’s official name.
The concert, entitled “When Taiwan Meets Russia,” was organized in association with Taiwan’s representative office in Moscow. The event took place at Moscow’s State Museum of Oriental Art.
The performers were many Taiwanese students studying in Russia. The Taiwanese musicians were later joined by Russian opera singers for a joint performance.
Taiwan’s representative to Russia, Wang Chien-yeh, said he hopes to see more cultural exchanges in the same vein, as they bring Taiwan and Russia closer together.
