Taiwan showcased new innovations in the UK at the shopping center Westfield London. The Taiwan Excellence Showcase exhibited nearly 200 information technology, lifestyle, sports and healthcare products. The event was held from October 15 to 19.
Taiwan External Trade Development Council Chairman San Gee hosted the event. San said London is the international metropolis that specializes in innovation, research and development and culture. He said London is the starting point for entering the global market.
Taiwan’s representative to the UK, Liu Chih-kung said the event will enhance the brand image of Taiwanese companies. Liu said he hopes similar events will give Taiwan brands a base in the British market and more global opportunities. Taiwan is the UK’s 18th largest trading partner.
