Taiwan will be hosting the World Conference on Information Technology (WCIT) for the second time in 2017.
Over 2000 industry experts and executives from all over the world are expected to attend the conference.
After Taiwan was confirmed as the event’s host on Wednesday, Vice Premier Chang San-cheng said he is confident that Taiwan’s technological achievements will impress the world. "I firmly believe that Taiwan has abundant technological achievements to showcase, from cloud-computing over the past few years to the internet of things, which we’ve recently began to promote," said Chang. "There is even our “creativity Taiwan” project begun early this year, which has closely connected the communications industry to all government sectors.”
The conference will be held in September 2017.
