Taiwan’s representative office in New York City – the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO-New York) -- is showcasing a collection of climate-inspired art. That’s in conjunction with the 5th annual Creative Climate Awards.
The exhibition opened on Thursday evening, and will last for one month.
TECO-New York organized the annual awards along with six environmental and academic groups. One of those groups is the Human Impacts Institute (HII), a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise people’s awareness about the environment.
The first prize winner of the awards this year is Sarah Cameron Sunde. Her video art piece, called “36.5 – a durational performance with the sea”, was inspired by Hurricane Sandy.
