Lydia Ko takes Taiwan LPGA title; home players falter
Number 1 in the World

New Zealand golfer Lydia Ko has won the Fubon LPGA Taiwan Championship, which wrapped up at the Miramar Golf and Country Club in New Taipei City on Sunday. She took away US$2 million in prize money and is now the world’s top-ranked female golfer.

Ko dominated the competition on the final day, managing a 7-under par 65. She finished with a four-day total of 20-under 268, topping runners-up So Yeon Ryu and Eun-Hee Ji of South Korea by nine strokes.

Meanwhile, it was a disappointing day for the 20 Taiwanese players in the tournament, none of whom finished under par.
