KMT chairman and presidential candidate Eric Chu is scheduled to visit the US next week. While there, he will hold a closed-door meeting with US officials.
Chu is expected to make a stop in Washington, where he will meet with White House officials and members of Congress. He will also hold a closed-door meeting with the National Committee on American Foreign Policy (NCAFP) in New York.
The Chinese community in New York will set up an Eric Chu supporters’ club on November 6. The club aims to rally behind Chu after the controversial decision to have him replace the previous KMT candidate late in the campaign. Chu will be speaking at the club’s promotional party in New York.
Chu is also scheduled to visit New York University, where he earned his Ph.D. in accounting in the 1990s. He will then head to San Francisco before returning to Taiwan.
