Shares in Taiwan took a beating Friday after the country's weighting was cut in three of MSCI Inc.'s equity indexes. That raised fears that foreign investors will move funds out of Taiwan's market.
TAIEX closed down 98.59 points, or 1.17 percent, at 8,329.50 Friday.
