Shares in Taiwan suffered heavy losses Tuesday. Dealers said the bellwether electronics sector took a dive amid lingering worries over the weakness of global demand for high-tech devices.
TAIEX closed down 85.59 points, or 1.01 percent, at 8,400.14.
