The foreign ministry announced on Thursday that Ontario has joined the list of Canadian provinces that allow Ontario residents with Taiwanese driver’s licenses to exchange them for local licenses. Drivers exchanging their licenses will not be required to take any tests. Ontario is the seventh province in Canada to sign a license exchange agreement with Taiwan. Taiwan is offering the same privilege to residents with Ontario licenses.
Eighty-five other countries and regions have similar agreements with Taiwan. They include Japan, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, France, Italy, and Canada, as well as parts of the US and Australia.
