Taiwan and South Korea are signing an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) agreement on Tuesday to facilitate trade between reputable companies on both sides. This is Taiwan’s fourth AEO with a trade partner.
The AEO enables both sides to enable reputable companies to enjoy easier passage through customs, a move that should facilitate trade between the two countries. This is also Taiwan’s first bilateral AEO. Taiwan had also signed an AEO with the US, Singapore and Israel.
The AEO is being signed on Tuesday afternoon between Taiwan’s representative to South Korea Joseph Shih and South Korea’s representative to Taiwan Cho Baek-Sang.
