The Central Weather Bureau (CWB) has issued a heavy rain warning for five cities and counties in central and southern Taiwan on Sunday.
Those areas include the two biggest cities in southern Taiwan, Tainan and Kaohsiung, as well as Yunlin, Nantou and Chiayi counties.
The bureau defines "heavy rain" as the possibility of accumulated rainfall exceeding 80 millimeters over a 24-hour period or 40 mm over a one-hour period.
