Shares in Taiwan trended sharply lower to close below the 8,000-point mark on Wednesday, as Taiwanese firms in Apple’s supply chain came under heavy pressure amid lingering concerns over sales of the latest iPhone models.
Taiwan shares close down 84.72 points, or 1.05 percent, at 7,990.39 on Wednesday.
