Foreign ministry official Michael Hsu says that Taiwan’s strengths in IT and the development of small to medium size enterprises will be its contributions to this year’s APEC forum. The 2016 APEC forum will be held in Peru.
The four main focuses of this year’s forum will be regional economic integration, strengthening the food market, modernization of small to medium size enterprises, and the development of human resources.
Hsu spoke on Thursday about Taiwan’s contribution to the forum.
"At APEC, you have to contribute something that other people don’t have and that you have already achieved. Other countries think highly of our small to medium size enterprises," Hsu said. "When senior officials from Peru came to visit last year, they discovered that they don’t have the concept of a ‘cluster’, and now they are saying that they hope to start ‘clusters’."
Again that was foreign ministry official Michael Hsu speaking on Thursday.
