Taiwanese American NBA player Jeremy Lin will be starring in a promotion video featuring a Chinese New Year’s family reunion dinner with other NBA players. It will be part of a series of activities that the NBA is holding to ring in the Year of the Monkey during Chinese New Year holidays in February.
The video will show Charlotte Hornets’ Lin along with Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry and Houston Rockets’ James Harden having a Chinese feast around a table with a Chinese family. The video will be shown on Taiwan’s NBA Chinese website (nba.udn.com), as well as Taiwan’s NBA Facebook fan page and the social media app LINE.
Meanwhile, the NBA will donate basketballs to four primary schools in remote areas of Hualien, Little Liuqiu and Kaohsiung for the Chinese New Year. NBA Taiwan is also setting up a temporary store from Jan. 30 to Feb. 6 to sell Year of the Monkey souvenir items at the Miramar Entertainment Park in Taipei.
